Full bio ... Karl A. Schieneman is Director of Legal Analytics and Document Review at JurInnov, Ltd. (JurInnov). JurInnov’s consulting practice focuses on the application of technology solutions to challenging litigation demands of law firms and their clients, including on-demand litigation support software, document hosting, electronic discovery processing and consulting, electronic risk management consulting, and computer forensics. Karl specializes in enhancing the productivity of document reviews while serving as a conduit between client needs and the complexities of large-scale data interpretation. Karl graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a BBA in Marketing. He later received a dual degree MBA/JD from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude and on Law Review. Karl has fourteen years of experience in the legal field as an attorney and legal staffing and document review expert. He subsequently became founder of several legal service and litigation support firms, including Legal Network which was purchased in 2004 by Special Counsel, a global legal staffing company owned by the MPS Group. Recognized as a national expert in electronic discovery and electronic records management, Mr. Schieneman is a frequent guest speaker on topics concerning legal staffing and electronic discovery issues, has hosted a quarterly national audio broadcast for BNA, and created the electronic discovery board game “Discovery Land.” Furthermore, he has written several articles and book chapters related to electronic discovery project management and efficient document review processes. Based largely on his electronic discovery experience, Karl Schieneman was awarded an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2004 followed by a Vestige Award at the 2008 ESI Awards Gala for most innovative use of ESI technology.
